Grey House Pink Door – Before & After

Hello Everyone!Screen Shot 2016-06-06 at 6.20.48 PM.png

Today I am FINALLY sharing the reveal of my new exterior house color! There is still a lot to do to add major curb appeal to this little house but it’s starting to come together.

Lets start with the deck. I hated that you could see under my front porch. Leaves would gather here and our dog Maverick, would also lay here and get super muddy. So, we decided to replace all the deck boards with a stained pressure treated wood. We also filled in the bottom of the porch and the steps with the pressure treated wood.

Next, we painted the exterior of the house Chelsea Grey from Benjamin Moore. Our house’s exterior is aluminum siding, which was easy to paint! We also had to paint our eavestroughs and fascia white. This took 3 days between work and other to-do’s, which wasn’t to bad. For the door, I LOVE using bright colors and having fun, so I went with a beautiful coral/pink color called Flamingo’s Dream also from Benjamin Moore. I adore how the colors turned out. The grey, white and pink compliment each other and it literally looks like a different house. I went with a bright door because the interior of my house it very neutral and white so I wanted to make the exterior  pop.

I still have to add our house number and play around with some porch décor, but I am happy that this project is done. This was something I’ve been wanting to do, but dreading to take on.

Also, my front gardens are slowly growing, but my oak tree is making a mess of my entire yard, oh well. Our next project is removing the trees outside our front door to really show off our new house colors, and we want to replace the current front interlock below the stairs. But for now I am happy with our house’s new look.
